This is beautiful. I live in a house full of hundreds of teddies and when my daughter sleeps at her dad’s I always put one in my bed. It’s childish but always works. Even at 40. Thank goodness for teddies ❤️
I'm so sorry you all went through this but I needed to hear this about the teddies. I've seen the miracle they create. I collect, clean, sanitize, refurbish, dress and try to donate teddy bears to kids in need. Unfortunately, not everyone sees the value. But I keep going and try to spread the joy to as many kids as I possibly can. I especially like the hugs and comfort each bear gives a child. Thank you for this. I needed to read your story.
Beautiful writing - I too went through similar things with my son when he was a baby and had a stoma from birth, it was reversed at 1, but he still had some damaged bowel .. he became acutely unwell at 3 and eventually had another stoma … which was reversed again at 5. He’s now an adult and so well - no bowel issues at all.
It’s really terrible now but these experiences can enrich you (in hindsight) because not only do you realise what matters (health, love and I would add safety) but the kindness of others - the world is filled with far more people who care than the news might portray. Good health x as bd love you all x
Sending you all lots of love and healing! It's terrifying when your child goes through something like that, but I'm glad he's through it and you're all relatively unscathed 🩷
So glad Leo’s through this. I know someone at Lego and can try and take this further if you want. Also, I know Baba Bears - you have one for Leo I believe - perhaps a bunny and a girl and boy bear could be donated to the waiting room for little ones to cuddle whilst they are there? Cheering you on always! 🌟
I can’t imagine how scary that must off been for you to go through. I have several teddies that I call my emotional support buddies as I have bad anxiety/panic attacks and depression and their always on my bed and when I travel or go to work etc my two faves are always in my bag. I have Vern (from over the hedge) and Burtle a little turtle.
